Now recruiting for Mumble/D20Pro game, starting in January.
I am planning to run Rise of the Runelords (Anniversary Edition), on Sundays, starting around 3pm PST.
I need one or two players - three at the outside.
We have plenty of d20Pro guest licenses, so those of you who don't have one, no need to worry. The client is, iirc, a free download.
Mumble is a free DL, information will be provided when it's needed.
If you have Hero Labs, I take .por files. If not, I'll probably be pulling your sheet into HL to check the numbers.
I'm a roleplayer/story GM, not a ruleplayer - I've been known to defenestrate the book because coolness (of course, I'll do that for both sides, so be ye warned), and I've been known to be merciful. However, while I am not out to kill PCs, actions have consequences.
Actual Character Generation!
Assuming you're still reading this, and are interested, here's what you need to know to set up a character.
L1.
20 point buy.
Max gold for your class.
I'm using traits, and yes, you get two. One of them should be a campaign trait.
If you want, I am considering testing the background merits/flaws rules - feel free to muck about with that.
I do not allow:
3rd party sources, psionics.
No monks, samurai, ninjas or summoners - and no play-test classes.
No Fetchlings, monsterous races (goblins, kobolds) or races that require templates.
Beyond that, if you want to play something odd, run it past me, and I'll take a look. I would prefer that characters start in Sandpoint, but they do not need to be residents.
Do not forget to note what feats/traits effect what, and to assign Favoured Class bonuses.
If you happen to have played through part of this before (or GM'd it), you are still welcome, on the condition that you are able to cram foreknowledge of events/encounters/monsters into a padlocked box and bury that box in an unused corner of your mind.
What I already have:
A wizard (of some kind)
A divine caster - might be a cleric, might be a paladin.

I'm still working on the 'who.' As for 'what,' I am taking this as an opportunity to play a wizard.

Excellent. Thanks for clarifying, Slap, Andi.
That leaves a multitude of options for Arms, Anvils and Hammers (no personal plumbing, please).
I should probably point out that we're all adults here, so far. You could accurately describe the humour as warped. ^.~
Puns are going to be the least of your worries.

Bah, it's just not working in my head. I might have to reconsider my whole concept again. That shouldn't stop anyone else from playing something they like, of course. If I choose to play a rogue type, I will be going more for damage than trapfinding. If I play a divine type, it will be more for support and off-damage than healing. It's not that I haven't done the trapfinder, or healer.. it's just that I don't want to do them now.
The way our Mumble games go, we always have enough players to cover all the bases, anyway, without anyone getting "locked" into the cliched roles.

I'm interested, though I'd like to know a little more about Mumble and roughly how long the sessions are planned to last?
I'm running RotR in a home game, using d20pro. So I'm familiar with the campaign, though I can play dumb, and I'm getting myself familiar with d20pro (and have a GM license).
If accepted I'm thinking either an alchemist focusing on ranged (bow and bomb) and handing out extracts to buff the party, or a magus meant to get up in the thick of things.

Well if you're still Looking I would be Interested.
I would be thinking of playing as an Alchemist or a Gunslinger, maybe even a mix of both. Really depends on what "Characters" I have in mind would not be shot down.
A Gunslinger would be a first, an Alchemist I know pretty well to end up with a Melee-Fighter/Medic/Beserker Bomb tossing Maniac. Depending how you handle Pathfinders redonkulas Craft:Skill system, in-game time and he lived long enough. He could start cranking out Acid, Flash-bangs ect and Magic Items.

Gunslingers have their own problems - you have to explain where such a character gained the necessary knowledge and what the heck he/she/it is doing in Sandpoint of all the places, but it's not amongst the classes I restrict.
At the moment, the Crafting system is under extensive retooling via house rule (I'm taking suggestions), and thus may get bent quite out of shape before all is said and done. If that doesn't bother you, have at ye.
There will be downtime, and I will let you guys make stuff as you have time, but the whole crafting thing will be very much experimental. I don't like the current system, and I've not had time to pull it apart and find the bits that need twisting to make it work. So everyone is warned. ;p

The thing with the Craft:Skill rules I get the feeling they were intended for projects that would take weeks like Weapons,Armor, ships ect. Well if you wanna keep the Crafting DC rolls. You could do something similar to what the GM in my other group house-ruled on Craft:Skill.
How he did it was depending on what rank your Craft:Skill was it Decreased your "Crafting Time" as it were and how fast you crafted items by beating the DC and how much SP you progress on the cost, if you managed to beat the items cost by Double or so you crafted the item faster.
Example: With that house-rule and my current craft time as 8 hours I roll a 35 to craft a DC 30 Fungal Stun Vial 75gp Base, 25gp Crafting. 35x30 = 1050sp, so if we're going by the Crafting cost you could make 4 Fungal Stun Vials 2 hours each or 1 in 7-8 hours base price.

Doesn't seem to be a good solution - either you go too far one way (current system, my original solution), or too far the other way.
I have had a suggestion that has some merit, but the math is going to need testing. Heh.
In the meantime! Interested parties! Gentlemen! Ladies! Send me your sheets!
.. not literally. If I get actual bedsheets in the mail, I might start wondering about you all. ;p

Name: (Still deciding between a British Gentlemen character or a Spainard Character whichever sounds more fitting I'll pick,) Either Charles Emerson Winchester the 3rd or Tulio Montague.
Class: Alchemist
Race: Human
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Traits: Accelerated Drinker, Outlander Exile.
Brief Backstory:
Former resident of Kintargo (Cheliax Region) until a recent rebellious outburst towards the oppressive Goverment and their Diabolism. Resulting in heavy drinking, a few unorthodox explosions, then needing to flee the county ending up in Sandpoint.
P.S If there is an alternative way I'm unaware of (besides sending it via Skype) to send in the full sheet without needing to type it all, please and thank you.

I said "Former Resident" he was never a full time Citizen as I'm going with a Hispanic character, his Homeland is Taldor. I thought it be kinda odd someone born and raised in Cheliax would jump to the Jihad and drinking when their government does what it's always done.
It would be like someone in North Korea one day deciding "DOWN WITH THE MAN *Tosses Molotov Cocktail* " even though growing up they know "You don't mess with the man"
P.S Sylverthorne I forgot to mention in my E-mail I do have my own character artwork I'll send when you respond to it.
