Full round Attack while knocked prone

Rules Questions

Hi i had an argument with a player of mine about this very situation.
The player is a summoner and while in the midst of combat his pet was knocked prone while fight a Winter Worg.

Now he wanted to make a full attack action while prone and initially I said no, then he read to me what prone says in the book. and since it doesn't say anything about NOT making a full attack action he argued he could.

So i said you can make the full round attack action but the Winter Worg gets an AoO on you and he argued not he doesn't cause it doesn't state it in prone.

looking for a bit of advice here

You can full attack while prone.

The character is lying on the ground. A prone attacker has a –4 penalty on melee attack rolls and cannot use a ranged weapon (except for a crossbow). A prone defender gains a +4 bonus to Armor Class against ranged attacks, but takes a –4 penalty to AC against melee attacks.

Standing up is a move-equivalent action that provokes an attack of opportunity.

It's pretty straightforward, the AoO only happens if you stand up (or use your actions for anything that provokes, like crawling). An armed attack doesn't provoke.

The penalties are pretty harsh already.

ok thanks i guess i was just looking to much into it lol
