Can a synthesist use an Eidolon Anchoring Harness?

Just wondering if a synthesist can use an Eidolon Anchoring Harness?

It seems to work to me, but if a synthesis is in this situation then most likely both him and the master are out of hit points and unconscious so it wont be able to take an action to use the harness, but otherwise it is legal.
