Spell sunder vs sphere of annihilation

As the title says just curious I it's a possibility or what people think would happen?

The sphere is an artifact isn't it? I would think it would be beyond the scope of Spell Sunder to deal with.

I think you would successfully sunder your weapon into annihilation... maybe the body parts attached, too.

The sphere isn't a spell effect, so spell sunder has nothing to do with it.
