So during the Witch Tree encounter in the third book, I managed to kill the entire party. With that being said I am trying to figure out how to get this 'new' party back into the swings of things.
Any ideas about how to accomplish this would be great!
Have the new party be a group of adventurers that one of the other heralds of Baba Yaga managed to contact (remember, there are 3 riders). They had some adventures of their own but eventually made it to Ioboria and they will now discover the hut. From there, it's mostly smooth sailing.

where three riders, the other two are dead, so you'd have to have them contacted before they died, and have made a long journey on foot to Atrosa. Maybe they run into the hut just outside Artrosa and feel a rush that the are on the right track. Make sure the new PC's are much more Baba Yaga based, as these would be people trusted by the previous riders to investigate goings-on, not just people that where randomly run into by the dying black rider.

Have the Tree actually be the means that people enter into the dungeon. They awaken within the Dungeon itself, having "passed" through, and due to having the Geas on them, they are brought back as part of Baba Yaga's power. (Anyone who didn't get the Mantle of the Black Rider, however, remains dead.)

While I like the idea, it fails to explain all those pesky ice giants and other living things in the dungeon.

Lord Snow: Teleportation, or they hacked their way through another section.
That would work. Since posting my previous post here I came to wonder how did they giants make their way past the witch tree without fighting it in the first place. I'm sure there's an explanation in the adventure but I really don't remember it.

They answered the riddle, probably. But I like the idea that they hacked a huge hole in the back of one of the heads to get in. You can even describe the draft. And hey, being "reborn" through the tree as part of Baba Yaga's Mantle would make it a very creepy and surreal bit to hint at the power of Baba Yaga.

Yeah. The centaur didn't have any problem sacrificing one of his own. PCs are slightly more likely to balk at such a request.
They couldn't have answered the riddle, since the riddle is bizarrely specific to the PCs. I see virtually no way Baba Yaga would have predicted these schmucks coming after her by way of randomly encountering the Black Rider. If I can't think of an alternate riddle for that, they're probably just going to have to fight.
