Raging Grappler advice, please help!

Advice

So I'm working on a raging martial artist style of character. 10 levels, great stat rolls. Playing human. First 5 levels are Martial Artist archetype monk so I don't worry about Ki or alignment stuff. Other 5 levels are Brutal Pugilist.

I had a question about how Brutal Pugilist's Improved Savage Grapple ability worked alongside the Lesser Hurler rage power. For example, at level 5/5 I can grapple creatures as if I were a large creature. And hurler lets me throw objects up to one size smaller than me. In this instance, would that mean I can chuck medium sized creatures around as weapons once I got my hands on them and rage while grappling?

Also, any advice on how to improve my AC would be great. I'm not using armor, and with the level 10 starting wealth the best in magic gear I could achieve was AC 27. (Bracers of armor+4, monks robe, Ring of protection +3, Dex and wisdom 18 after gear)

This is not an accurate understanding of Savage Grapple.

The special ability treats you as one size category larger for the purposes of the grab special attack. Some monsters can only grab certain size categories, so if you're too big, their attack does not work.

That being said, no you would not be able to "chuck medium sided creatures as if [you] were a large creature," as that aspect of Improved Savage Grapple is purely defensive. Sorry. I made the same mistake when I first read savage grapple.

As far as AC is concerned, I'm not the person to ask; I suppose you could get combat expertise, three ranks in acrobatics, crane style, and fight defensively.

Crap I completely misread it!

My VC and I misread it for months. Not like the character needed it, but I added in a +1 size bonus where there shouldn't be one.

Glad that's straightened out, I guess.
