In the Great Hall of the Pathfinder Lodge in Absalom, there is a new posting in the hall's "Open Assignment Board". This board is usually updated for missions where a Pathfinder looks for a longer-term assignment instead of the traditional "quick-mission" dispatches of Society Life. However, these assignments are usually incredibly boring ones, that can last months on end, before you return home. While great for some who need to meet the yearly quota of one mission per year, it's a pain for those Pathfinders who would rather be where all of the action is which is currently in Mendev and in Varisia.
On the board this week, there are a few postings to Alkenstar, Qadira, Katapesh, including a re-posting for a group to survey The Lighting Stones in Katapesh.. There is a big one in the center of the board that has gathered a rather big following.
The posting read as followed:
Requesting Pathfinders, to make an expedition to Belhaim, Taldor, for an investigation survey. Recommended for those with extensive knowledge of the Arcane Arts, Religious Studies, and expert knowledge of forestry and creatures of the Verudran forests. Worshipers of the The Green Faith encouraged to apply.
If interested, please see Mariposa Amberdagger, Junior Scribe and Assistant to Charlotte Amberdagger, Lady Ophelia Stormslayer, and Venture Captain Utan Wormtudder at Skyreach Hall.

As Venture Captain Utan Wormtudder and Lady Charlotte Amberdagger look at the list of recruits that have already signed up for the assignment and worry comes upon their faces.
"My, if I wanted a bunch of fighters and warmongers to go to Taldor, I would have just asked Marcus to send me some initiates." Says Utan with a sense of concern "None of this lot will do." He says."Charlotte, perhaps a more robust posting is necessary."
Charlotte looks up from the collection of applicants.. She agreed with her boss, Taldor is very much a fickle place. Not necessarily for those who wish to start fights. The Society has to be very careful as their relationship in Taldor is on thin ice, and sending a bunch of troublemakers is sure to make things worse. More clever and intelligent applicants are needed for this task.
"You can't blame them Utan. With the Fifth Crusade raging in Mendev, every fighter, is joining the Society now to get a piece of the combat action. Perhaps we will be a little more detailed in our requirements for this expedition." Charlotte says handing over the applicant list to Mariposa.
"Do what you must Charlotte, but be sure to find me the right party and soon. Our client is losing patience." Utan sits in his chair looking at the fire drinking from his stein and sighs. "What do we have to do to find some clever Pathfinders now adays?"
Mariposa and Charlotte together move downstairs to the main posting board. Removing their post, they add a new posting for their needed expedition.
Investigators and researchers are preferred for this task, not fighters. All applicants will be required to speak with Lady Charlotte Amberdagger before hire.
If interested, please see Mariposa Amberdagger, Junior Scribe and Assistant to Charlotte Amberdagger, Lady Ophelia Stormslayer, and Venture Captain Utan Wormtudder at Skyreach Hall.

So the post above means what it said.
I am reopening applications. All previous applications have been denied.
I am a little bummed as I was expecting a more creative bunch, especially with now 31 class options to choose from for Pathfinder Society. Instead of the 25 applications I received, 22 of them were fighter builds. Which would be great if this were a combat heavy adventure, but this adventure is just as much roleplay as there is combat. So I am in need of a little more than just your standard "sword and board" player.
So let me be a little more specific about what I am looking for:
1) I am looking for more than just a "fighter". I am only going to be accepting ONE fighter.. The rest of you are going to have to be a little more creative in your builds.
2) Skill monkeys are ENCOURAGED HIGHLY to apply. The smarter and more diplomatic you are the better.
3) You are going to Taldor.. Look on the Pathfinder Wiki to get a better understand of the realm you are going to before you build your character.
4) FOLLOW BUILD INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE. -- 2/3rds of the applicants did not submit complete applications, which is grounds for immediate non-consideration. I know not everyone has writing as their main forte, but there has to be more to your PC's than their Hero Lab stat block.
5) I will be responding to every application, with an in-character prompt. You will have one week to respond, IN CHARACTER. The best in-character responses and completed applications will be accepted to the game.
We shall try this again. Hopefully I will have better results this time.
The Application process will be open until DEC 16TH, 2013. So get to work!

Hi! Okay.. um, let's see.. I was REALLY interested in playing this AP since you originally posted it but since it started on the 6th, i didn't sign up but now it's not.. I'm super interested, but I do have a concern.. Do you have a maximum word count for backstory? <.> Serious question..
There is no maximum on backstory. I only request a minimum so that I can better fit the party when going through the applications.

Awesome. Is it okay if you're sent a word doc? Or do you need it copied and pasted into the e-mail itself?

Huh? The PC used to play Dragon's Demand in campaign mode is not a PFS PC, nor can it be played anywhere else besides in Dragon's Demand.
The original question was whether or not crafting was going to be supported in your run of The Dragon's Demand, or are the PFS alternate feat choices going to be the standard?

Yes and no. I saw that Crafting feats are allowed. But given that this is in the PFS boards I was wondering what should be the default, Scribe Scroll or Spell Focus. Or is it my choice?
If it makes a difference, I would plan to apply the credit for this to a PFS Wizard.
The application was submitted last night, so I guess it's up for overall approval or denial now.

Crafting is supported by the campaign mode, but if you like your PC and want to transform it into a regular level 1 PFS character afterwards you can when I report the session. Then you can apply the chronicles per chronicle credit rules. Its up to you and how you feel about thr character when done..
But it is one way or the other. Whatever PC I approve you is the format you wish to take.
