[Way of the Wicked]--Orcs of Talingarde

Product Discussion

I've been GMing this excellent adventure path for a couple of months now. We're still in Book I, but I've read up to Book III. I've noticed that the hordes laying waste to Talingarde have some racial diversity, orcs are conspicuously absent. In fact, there has been exactly one allusion to orcs thus far, in the form of a forgettable half-orc NPC. Normally I'd welcome this change of pace without further thought, but one of my players is a half-orc with strong tribal roots.

Thus far, I've assumed the orcs to inhabit the mountains of the Borderlands, but I'm wondering if Fire Mountain Games has said anything about how the race fits into Talingarde, or if the island was not envisioned as supporting a population of orcs at all.

I haven't bought Books IV through VI yet, and wouldn't be surprised if Talirean orcs are detailed in one of them.

it's a bit of a spoiler, but there is a tremendous lack of orc blood in Talingarde as a whole, due in no small part to a lack of Orcs in the horde (suggesting there were none in Talingarde in the first place, that NPC you mentioned probably came from the mainland)
