Scion of Humanity

The assimar alternate racial trait, Scion of Humanity, would seem to be appropriate for any of the native outsider races featured in the Advanced Race Guide. Is there a particular game balance reason that this was limited to aasimar and not made available to the other native outsider races? This doesn’t seem to be an overly powerful trait, but there are often reasons for certain rules that are not obvious to players.

This is not really a rules question, but a general discussion question. That is just how it was made. It was not a game balance reason.

I'll chip in and ask why only Aasimar can take feats that grant them wings?

It would seem that it would be just as beneficial to allow the same option for Tieflings, at the same levels and such. But they can't have it. Looks a lot like differential treatment.

I do allow the wing feats for Tieflings in my own game though, I've just wondered why everything must be divided into options for this race or class versus options for that race or class, it's counter intuitive.
