A hammer throwing character, bit similar to Thor?

Advice

I was just thinking about such a character after seeing some feats lately.
Kind of wielding a hammer, being able to throw it and catch it again.

Any cool hints at that`?

+1 thundering throwing returning warhammer and the Far Shot feat?

Not bad already, but i thought more of feats like two-handed thrower and bounding hammer.

Pretty much all you need...if you wanted more Thor-ish flavor you could add in some shocking burst and maybe a 3x/day ability to Call Lightning as the druid spell. The lightning comes down into the hammer and is directed by the user.

I don't know if you want to simulate the flying or whatever other of the hammer's properties that Thor has but this gets the gist of it down.

Two handed Thrower would work well, I can't find Bounding Hammer though, what is that?

Cleric or Inquisitor of Gozreh may be a good choice, with the Air domain? Maybe even Oracle, if you like that flavor.

Silver Crusade

Here is how I'm doing it. <click on he name for the character sheet, PFS legal>.

I plan on going 1 more level of Barbarian sometime, and the rest Cleric. Eventually there is a (2nd level ?) spell to make a weapon Returning, which I will use to save money until later. I'm also thinking of taking the Feat (Domain Strike I believe) that will let me use Lightning Arc through my weapon/fists that too I'll use to save a litte money early on, until I can afford something permanent.

Domain strike only allows usage through an unarmed strike and requires Improved unarmed strike as a prereq....might be too much invested for too little return. I like the rest of it though, so decent flavor and all.

Silver Crusade

I was thinking of doing that, and Improved Unarmed Strike for flavor, but I'm not sure, like you said, how much I want to invest in it. I was building it with DM credit, and hadn't really planned on playing him too much, (didn't want to break the mood of a game, "The Son of Odin cares not for the wars of men"), and wasn't really drawing from any particular character source except the marvel character.

You can throw a hammer so it rebounds near you.

Prerequisites: Proficiency with hammer, base attack bonus +6.

Benefit: As a standard action, you may throw a hammer at an opponent within 20 feet. If you hit (whether or not the attack damages the target), the hammer rebounds off of the creature and lands in your square. If you have the Snatch Arrows feat, you may choose to catch the hammer when it enters your square (though this does not give you the ability to immediately throw the hammer). This ability may not work against some creatures or in certain circumstances as determined by the GM; for example, your weapon does not bounce off incorporeal creatures (unless it has the ghost touch ability), it may stick to creatures with the adhesive ability, the slowing effect of fighting underwater prevents you from using this feat, and so on.

Normal: A thrown weapon drops in the square where it hit its target.
