Newb Question(s) Regarding Mob Stat BLock

Rules Questions

"Hello, my name is Aluna, and I'm a Newb" Resounding response, "Hi, Aluna" Ok, we got that out of the way.

In the stat block for most MOBS, I see listed things like AC 15, Flat Footed 12, Touch 10....

I understand that the 15 next to the AC is the armour class used to resolve combat. But what for example is the number after Flat Footed for? I thought Flat Footed was a condition that occurred before any action had been taken by a character? What does the 12 signify?

I've been reading fairly diligently through the Core Rulebook and haven't seen an answer.

Thanks in Advance!!

It means that when they have the flat footed condition, the math works out that their AC is the listed number.

When flat footed, you do not get Dex or Dodge bonuses to your AC. They have already calculated what their AC is in this situation and listed it for you in the stat block.

Edit: oh, I see the confusion. All three numbers are AC. The first one is their "normal" AC.

You're correct that Flat Footed is a condition that occurs before you take your first action in Initiative. During that time (or if you're flatfooted for another reason) your AC is what is listed in the stat block.

Welcome aboard :)

Got it! That makes sense! So essentially, the math has been done for you!
Thanks for the quick and understandable response!
