I searched for Zarongel and couldn't find the answer, so sorry if this has been asked, but when are you supposed to add the promo in? With Deck 2 when you start it?

Yes. Add the promos in with the decks they come with, when you start that adventure.

Actually, I was just reading the FAQ and noticed this:

When can I add promo cards to the box?
Anytime after you begin Chapter 1 of the Adventure Path

As far as I understand it, you can add any promos you own as soon as you start the AP.

Yes, all the promos are intended to be added as soon as you get them, assuming you have started Rise of the Runelords.

The only problem with it is as a promo card and only having one, is it will never match the blessing deck.

I was thinking the same. You really need at least 2 of any blessing to get the same benefit as other blessings.

They should have made it recharge if it's played in conjunction with Good Old Poog (e.g., on a "fiery weapon" check) rather than requiring a second, identical card which virtually no game-owner will ever have.
