Mithral Hellknight Armor of Speed?

Greetings and Salutations,

My Paladin has been banking his gold for a long while and is looking between Full Plate and Hellknght Armor of the Mithral variety. Hellknight Armor is described as "a special type of Masterwork Fullplate." Would I be able to get this enchanged as Mithral Full Plate of Speed for an extra 500 gold?

Mithral Full Plate of Speed is a "specific" item, and as such can only be purchased exactly as described in the book. So no, you can't make a Hellknight version of it.

Hellknight armor isn't any better than fullplate if you aren't a hellknight. The masterwork armor reducing in armor check penalty is already calculated in, that's why it's 1 lower than normal fullplate.

I understand. I was looking forward to the benefits when I get my second level of Hellknight in a week or so.

Maybe save up a little bit longer for boots of speed and mithral hellknight armor? If you have the prestige class, it's worth it to get the special armor. When you get the special armor training and can move full speed in Hellknight plate, that usually frees up boot slot for most builds.
