what is the point buy for the tag along NPC's for Jade regent?

Jade Regent

Shadow Lodge

Basically the above question, what is the point buy for the prominent NPC's that begin the game traveling with you? I'm working on something for my own home game based on that concept and am wondering what point build they went with.

Sandru, assuming all bonuses to stats went on Strength. Base stats 13/14/12/10/10/13. 13 point buy.
Koya, assuming all bonuses went on Wisdom and 'old' means -3 to all physical stats and +2 to all mental stats. Base stats 8/13/15/10/14/12. 15 point buy.
Ameiko, assuming all bonuses went on Charisma. Base stats 10/14/13/12/8/15. 15 point buy.
Shalelu, assuming level 5 bonus went on Constitution. Base stats 12/14/15/10/13/8. 15 point buy.

Conclusion: Sandru kinda sucks?

Creating NPCs.

Unless stated otherwise, significant NPCs use "Heroic" ability scores: 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8 assigned as desired then adjusted by race, class level advancements, and age. Note that NPC allies are usually not significantly optimized (to avoid overshadowing the PCs), so in some cases advancements in ability scores will be used to raise low scores to mitigate weaknesses instead of boosting high scores to improve strengths.

Shadow Lodge

K so they were all built on a 15 point rather then a 20

Shadow Lodge

Do they start them as 3rd level or 5th?

They are:
A level 5 aristocrat/bard/rogue
A level 4 cleric
A level 4 rogue
A level 6 fighter/ranger
All extremely unoptimized (compared to my players). In the later books you're supposed to level them up to keep them a couple of levels behind the PCs.
