I need assistance building a rogue with a homebrew race

Advice

Here are the key features of the race

+2 to any ability score
Receive Combat Expertise or Power Attack for free
Proficient with all swords

20 point buy, no dump stats, no multi-classing.

My first idea, was to use the Scout archetype and a greatsword with power attack.

The other idea was to dual wield short swords, use Combat Expertise and two-weapon feint. I'd be a bit more skill focused with this build.

Thoughts? Starting at level 4.

Try this, a Dex-based rogue with an Elven Curved Blade. You get 18-20/x2 crit (go for butterfly's sting feat, its amazing since crits aren't as important), full PA bonus, and finessable. Since you auto-get Power Attack, try picking up Furious Focus and be a Scout. Try and Skill Monkey things up a bit, so you are relevant in combat and important out of combat.

this is a really good idea, provided you get to also skip the prerequisites of power attack when you pick it up for free.

Butterfly's Sting requires Combat Expertise. Would it be better to take Combat Expertise for free at the beginning, then take Power Attack as a feat?

Would Spring Attack fit well with Scout?

Spring Attack fits with the scout about as well as it fits with anything else. It works, but is kind of lame. I mean, at first glance, it seems awesome, like an infinite sneak attack loop, but then you realize that you still will take an AoO, and going for 2 attacks>1 attack, as you get Sneak Attack twice. I think Power Attack for free>Combat Expertise for free unless you are a maneuver build, as power attack is a great melee feat, and Combat Expertise is a maneuver feat tax. Try this
R1:Power Attack
L1:Weapon's Finesse
L2(combat trick):Combat Expertise
L3:Butterfly's Sting
L4:Insert favorite talent here (Offensive Defense is awesome for melee)
