Homebrew Setting- Theloras

Homebrew and House Rules

Alright so this is my homebrew setting. The land of Theloras has 3 continents: Sonorn, the main continent, Kabuko, a continent that's basically feudal Japan, and Darenthil, the homeland of the elves. Sonorn has sevral regions. The main regio is the Sonornian Highlands, a plains area with sweeping hills. It contains the capital city of Bareth, the small village of Cabar, the port city of Sorothon, and the poor city of Kirithon. West of there is a small area known as the Diruption Plains, a small desolate region where the portals to other plains appear frequently. This is the reason why Kirithon is so poor. North of the highlands lies the Dim Forest, a boggy forest area with one single city in it: Necros, a city home to a cult of necromancers and their undead creations. North of that is the Terrazan Mountains, a cold and mountainous region containing the human settlement of Kigsung and the dwarven capital,Tornhold. South of the Highlands lies the Lagrambo Desert, containing the city of Sinnbasu.South of that is a region known as The Fire, a volcanic region, with the single city of Taran sitting on the border of the Desert and the Fire. West of that is a desolate region known simply as Death, where a certain epic level monster slumbers in a cave. East across the Grasana Sea is Kabuko, a continent modeled after feudal Japan, with 3 regions. The regions are the Aniko Mountains, the Kurasan Jungle, which contains the warring cities of Oykot and Otoyk, and the Suduko Swamps. West of Sonorn and through a passageway containing two dangerous sister sea monsters, is the Elven continent of Darenthil, where the elves and drow are in a civil war with each other. Anyway, I would like your opinion of my setting as I have it so far. Any suggestions are welcome.

Hmmm I'm gonna bump this since I might be running a PbP campaign using it soon and I would like to know some opinons on it. I can provide additional info if needed.

Also sorry for bad formatting this was back when I didn't know how to post properly haha

Well, the big paragraph took a few reads to sort the information. But I think I got it now.

What sort of feedback are you looking for exactly?

Sorry for late response but just kinda wanting to know whether it sounds good or not.

Yeah it sounds good I think.

Good variety. You have the ingredients for some challenging adventures.

I had an idea about an island where primative elves live. They have no concept of magic or archery.

I also had an idea about a city built by scholars called Libris. I've played Metroid Prime on Nintendo Gamecube. I like the maps of the Chozo Ruins. It would be a good reference for such a place.

Also, a complex built by the dwarves near a volcano. The lava/magma is used to fuel the forges. Long ago they made weapons to assist the elves in their war with the hobgoblin invasion...etc. you get the idea.

But yeah! Big Map, Big Landmarks...lots of anchor points for potential adventures. I dig the civil war thing b/t the elves and drow.

What would a half elf/drow be called anyway? Is that even possible?
Some Sylvan Romeo and Juliet?

Hope this helps. Happy Gaming,M

An idea for Necros: the reason why the necromancers are there is because of an old pact with whatever that grants them sanctuary as long as they are within the city's borders. It explains why they are there, and it can grant a level of frustration when an evil necromancer is traced back there. You can't kill him, so you need to lure him beyond the borders.

I created a race called the Dreem that arise from the breeding of Elves and Drow. On Golarion it wouldn't work so much, because Drow are inherently evil, but the way I flavored them is by making them have the taint of evil like a Teifling, but actively seeking to redeem themselves.
