I've found different rulings on these so I'm looking for some condensed clarification...
I have:
A reach weapon
Combat Reflexes
Combat Expertise
Improved Trip
Cornugan Smash
Greater Trip
Power Attack
1. Can I power attack in the surprise round on an AoO if I am flatfooted?
2. If I can, can I use Cornugon Smash (CS) if the attack succeeds?
3. If instead of CS, can I make a trip attack?
4. If I successfully trip the opponent, Can I take another AoO on the fall per Greater trip, declare Power Attack and then possibly apply CS if the attack succeeds?
5. If the target still has movement left and chooses to stand, do I get another AoO? Can I stack Cornugon Smash if it succeeds? Is the DC at +5?
6. If the above series works and I am presented with a second target in the same round and assuming my Dex is high enough, could I repeat the sequence (obviously with -2 for PA or -4 for PA/CE) or is there a limit on immediate actions per round?
7. Could I apply Combat Expertise on the first AoO?
8. Could I wait to apply Combat Expertise until the last AoO happens?
thanx in advance.

1. You cannot normally AoO when you are flat-footed (things like Uncanny dodge overrule this).
2. Yes, if you are not flat-footed or have a way to AoO when flat-footed.
3. Yes, assuming not flat-footed.
4. Yes.
5. Yes. Standing provokes. No it doesn't stack. No change to the DC.
6. Yes. Don't forget to apply the attack penalty from Power Attack to your Trip CMB roll. I don't see any immediate actions here, only AoOs and Free actions, so no limit (except the recent FAQ that suggests limiting free actions - that's between you and your GM - otherwise there is no limit, until you run out of AoOs from Combat Reflexes).
7. Yes.
8. Yes. You could, of course, never get that last AoO (if nobody provokes one) in which case, you took a risk but waited too long and miss the chance.

Combat reflexes allow me to act flatfooted.
I was abit confused on Cornugon Smash acting as an immediate check and the timing restrictions on PA and CE.thanx
