Hi,
as my Kingmaker Campaign comes to a hold (were currently at the 4th book), a few of my players and I thinking about starting another Kingmakerish-Campaign.
The question is where?
Does anyone has some suggestion were we can settle a "explore & conquer" homebrew campaign in Golarion?
Maybe some area with special climate or features which has some background material from Paizo.
I could certainly see the lords of Lastwall being perfectly happy to grant a charter of exploration and conquest in Belkzen, but most other areas are either really cold, really undesirable, or already owned. Maybe Varisia or a charter from Mendev to settle parts of Sarkoris reclaimed from the Worldwound?
Varisa, definitely (there are even some basic suggestions how to do this with Fort Rannick in book 3 of _Rise of the Runelords_). Varisia is mostly wilderness with a few cities along the edge, so it should work. I'd suggest that Korvosa would be the most likely of the three cities in Varisia to sponsor such an expedition, but you could have support from someohe out of the area as well.
Mwangi Expanse sounds intressting... taming the jungle :)
