New player question

Just starting off with Pathfinder Society and I've run upon a question. Are you allowed to take the alternate racial traits for your race when creating a character?

If you have the book that they come in, for the most part, yes. I think there are some traits that are specifically banned, but most are legal for play.

Check out the Additional Resources page to find out if the specific trait you want is legal.

For example, the craftsman alternate Dwarven racial trait, practicality alternate Halfling racial trait, and heart of the fields alternate Human racial traits are _not_ legal, but all of the other alternate racial traits in the APG _are_ allowed.
