For the second time my core rule book is starting to come apart.
History: Within it's second campaign my core rule book started falling apart. Players constantly rechecking their abilities, spells or specific rules caused it to be manhandled so much that the cover was coming off.
I rescued it with Gorilla Tape but eventually it became more tape than book so I took it to be cut and spiral bound.
Since then I tried everything to get the book used less. I encourage apps, PDFs, printing out a player's class features, longer character sheets and using the Online Reference Document to save it some abuse. I even use a reference document app when DMing. But it, along with Ultimate Equipment remains the book that gets open the most by other people and it's paying the price.
I need it to be rebound but I think one reason why it's so ready to fall apart is that it's too huge. I want to get it rebound but I want to separate it into pieces for better use. Especially since the players don't need the gamemastering portions along with the weapon's portion. (because of Ultimate Equipment.
How should I divide up my Core Rule Book?
I have all the hardcovers so should I leave the Race and equipment chapters out of it? should I go the whole mile and rebind all my player related books so that the classes are all together? Looking for suggestions.
