Ultimate Campaign: The cost of rooms that upgrade from another room?

Rules Questions

Bunks (400gp), are upgraded into Lodging (430gp)

If I want to build a Lodging Room, do I pay:
430gp (for Lodging) or
830gp (Bunk cost, and Lodging cost)?

Thanks in advance

Amusingly, the upgrade costs 3 goods and 3 labour (120 gp).

I can't make sense of it :)

Do you happen to know how it works when you pay to have an upgraded room constructed? Do my men have to build a bunk and the upgrade it? Or do they simply get to build Lodging, and what does the price look like?

It costs 7 goods, 4 influence and 7 labour to build a bunk. Or, you pay 400 gp.

The cost of lodgings is 10 goods, 1 influence and 10 labour (or 430 gp).

When upgrading, you pay the cost difference, but do not get a rebate if the cost of the upgrade is lower than the cost of the original room for a particular type of capital, so nothing comes back for the extra influence paid.

Thus 3 goods and 3 labour. The purchase cost of this is 120 gp.

For the record, if you use capital instead of gold, your costs in gp are halved, but you must earn the capital first.
