An invitation of Evil

We are placing a call out to all planned evil settlements/charter companies/individuals to come and discuss these issues and others:

1) Minority: I believe that evil aligent to be the minority when it comes to representation on these forums. How does this effect your planning? Does this make you reconsider your choice? What would you like to see Golgotha do to aid you in being represented more accurately?

2) Logistics: there are currently few CCs planning to operate on the less moral standpoints. Does this present to you worries of training? Does it effect your planning stages on trying to join a CC? I know of only two settlements announcing that they will cater to evil training.

3) Resources: As it stands now Evil will be significantly weakened in terms of resources. But! I ensure you this issue is the easiest to address. The majority of the problem with this issue is the division of resources spread amongst our kin. We prepose a merger of resources. Be a part of project Golgotha and raise an empire the likes of which pathfinder has never seen. Cement our presence within this community.

Let us give the "good guys" something to fear again. Let they're petty arguments persist over "griefing" and from underneath them, we shall erect a community that will stand the test of time.

I hope it is not perceived as antagonistic if I put to you the same question I have asked many others over a very long time.

Do you intend to support Low Reputation characters?

Goblin Squad Member

Golgotha is not a lawless barrens. We are a structured organization with goals and policies. Golgotha will not tolerate violations of our code of ethics. To answer the matter simply. High reputations will be encouraged and supported, and reckless lowering of reputation will be discouraged.

The more complex answer is this:
1) Citizens will be encouraged to have high reputation
2) Outsiders will be judged by two factors
-a) The standing/status they hold with Golgotha
-b) The reputation of the individual
3) Every citizen acts as an "representative" of Golgotha.
-a) We expect them to personify excellence
-b) We expect professionalism
-c) We will encourage these behaviors with incentives

What happens outside of our territory/treaties is none of our concern, unless a citizen of Golgotha is involved.

Nihimon, I hope this answers your question. If any further clarity is requested, I will order the KoG to issue a statement.

It seems clear to me that you will discourage interaction with Low Reputation characters. If my understanding is correct, there's no need for further clarification.

For a LE company to avoid getting in over its head in conflicts over resources, I would point out the following to the community, as well as suggest such LE settlements try to underscore this point in their diplomatic entreaties: while evil can be a dangerous neighbor, LE are more obsessive about keeping contracts, agreements, and treaties than anyone else.

Goblin Squad Member

I will be present in the PFO teamspeak for next hour or so to discuss the topics presented thus-far.

Goblin Squad Member

While I applaud the support recieved through PMs and emails, I am concerned by the lack of pronounced authority on the forums. I encourage everyone, evil or not, to take an active role in this community.

Goblin Squad Member

I think (although I don't really understand why, if true) some people maybe are afraid to announce their intents to be evil. Others, I think want to "play" the roll of a good guy, or have everyone think they are, till EE comes and BOOM a whole army of Evil emerges.

Goblin Squad Member

Agreed.

On a seperate note. I just recieved the email with our basic treaty template and our Agreement of Sponsorship from the KoG. Unfortunately I'm on my phone so it will be around 1700 central before I am able to publish those socuments to these forums. Keep in mind these are a work in progress. If one of the KoG becomes available to post it before me, I will ensure it is provided

It is unfortunate that only a few CCs are promoting themselves as evil. Hopefully as EE gets closer we will see more players show interest.

Goblin Squad Member

That is one of the intended purpose of this thread as well. I would like to see a more prominent position taken in voicing the opinions of those less morally inclined.

Edit* In addition I will be in the PFOfan TS for the next few hours as I have a 24 hour shift this evening. I would like to fill it with as much progress as possible.

I'm glad you guys exist, otherwise my CG character wouldn't have an eternal enemy to fight against.

I personally look forward to running what ever they end up calling the evil cleric training center. That and using the undead as cheap labor and assault troops should those mechanics be implemented.

The Golgotha: Settlement Charter thread now host our templates for simple agreements. They are both works in progress to be used as needed for negotiations at this time. Contact myself or Scheherazade with any questions or our group email:
pfscrimsonguard@gmail.com

Or my PFO email:
pfsLordRegent@gmail.com

I'm also available in the PFO TS for the remainder of this evening.

There is a decent discussion going on in channel A in the PFO TS. More are welcome.

This is what I'm most looking forward to as well.

To which malevolent entity shall the supplications be directed in your unhallowed halls of malediction?

Given your professed vocation and targeted alignment, musings arise of Charon the Horseman of Death, or perhaps Norgorber. Or maybe your appetites align more with Urgathoa?

Goblin Squad Member

I have always been a priest of the Lady of Despair personally. The ritual of reaping has been a sacrament if have enjoyed for many years.

Goblin Squad Member

So the bad guys are the ones in the black hats?

Goblin Squad Member

Green hats actually.

I would take the OP much more seriously if I wasn't roadblocked by the glaring spelling errors throughout his post. In essence, you basically want to be an anonymous dbag in an environment where being one might be the only way to get attention for yourself (trolls in every mmo ever) and want to team up with others of likeminded disgrace for your mutual petty entertainment. 'Evil' is an ephemeral concept usually applied to those individuals/groups who are 'not us' in location, morality, functionality. Evil isn't being the person who says crap to start a chat channel argument. Evil isn't the guy who plays 16 hours a day to advance his character then turns around on other people and degrades them for not putting the same effort in as they expect.

You aren't evil if you're doing it in a video game, chap. You're a petty, socially immature being that needs to grow up before they get locked into their mental structure and complains the rest of their life about how they can't cope with 'real life'.

Goblin Squad Member

shadowmage, have you followed the PFO discussions at all? Deacon and the other prominent players planning to start evil settlements have been through many discussions with each other, the good guys, and the developers about what will be "evil", what will be "griefing", and what will simply be a dickish move.

You make a lot of really pointed and rude attacks on Deacon's character, but do you actually know the guy or what he's selling? I'll give you a hint: he absolutely will not condone "randomly" killing and looting other people inside his settlement.

I think your hostile attitude probably comes from his last sentence (correct me if I'm wrong). Perhaps if you read more posts on these boards about RPK'ing, griefing, and the evil alingment (and boy are there a lot of them) it would help you to understand why he included that sentence.

As a final sidenote, expecting perfect grammar and punctuation on the internet is just silly. Especially when you consider not every knows english as a first language, and when you remember how crazy convoluted and deranged our language is. :)

First :lol, why so serious bro? i dont know if u know, but he is clearly Roleplaying a character.

Second: dismissing his entire post cause of grammar spelling is ... disturbing.

Third: ill give u the point that sometimes its hard to say what is evil and what is not,but ill leave a question. For example: Drow Society, the acts of Drizzt Do Urden opposes to location, morality and functionality of menzobenrranzan, is Drizzt "evil"?. The others drows may say that he is a pain-in-the-a## but i really doubt they wil say he is evil.

Are you sure? Walter White had a black hat and he was one of the best-written evil characters in recent media.

Goblin Squad Member

I think the reference is to the example many posters give of what to many is a random killing where the killer real reason was the killing was done because the character was wearing a green hat and the killer has x reason for hating folks that wear green hats.

First of all, if you read any of my other post, you will notice that during working hours I make post from my phone.

Secondly, let me define "Evil" for you, young one. It means that I set my goals and I will do anything to achieve them. I think, perhaps, you missed those post as well in a cheap effort to rile me up.

While I appreciate your characterization of my RP persona on these boards. I think you may need to advance in maturity before you are able to handle discussion of any sort. Your attempt to "troll" me has provided you with a response from me. I hope you enjoyed it.

Err... what?

That "young one" move, like calling someone "kid" or "son" is petty.

There will be no shortage of black-hats for your team, then.

Obviously OOC.

This one line was supposed to be in-character?

D. Wulf wrote:

While I appreciate your characterization of my RP persona...

OOC again.

D. Wulf wrote:

So... one in-character line, unmarked, in a mostly out-of-character post?

Goblin Squad Member

Persone vs OOC

Goblin Squad Member

There seems to be a lot of energy being expended on an obvious troll.

Two typographical errors did not alter the meaning of your OP, nor did it interfere in any way with reading it.

Don't feed trolls. It only brings them back for more.

Goblin Squad Member

Seems a second troll circled in to see what the first was feeding on.

PS. you're all OOC! Rawr!
