The Kobold Press 2014 Calendar
Wondering what the new year will bring? Wonder no longer! With the 2014 Kobold Press 13-month Calendar on your wall, each month brings you a new scene of wonder, mystery and adventure: from the depths of a ghoul-haunted dungeon to distant planes where the fractal dance of Law and Chaos orders the universe. All this and more, brought to life by talented artists including Ben Wootten, Craig Spearing, Aaron Miller, and Ralph Horsley.
But wait, there’s more! You’ll also find:
- Release dates of iconic games, past and present
- Release dates of landmark fantasy and science fiction movies
- Birthdays of famous science fiction and fantasy writers, and gaming professionals, including the birthdays of a few Paizonians, some Wizards, and the Kobold crew!
Let the 2014 Kobold Press Calendar be your companion and guide to fantastic adventure. A new year awaits—onward!
This is a really nice product! It's not one of those cheap, flimsy calendars. This is printed on really high quality, heavy coated stock and the images are gorgeous! Basically, this is a top quality professionally printed calendar that you can keep long after 2014 has come and gone.
I have a couple of the calendars here on my desk and honestly, these are awesome 'in person'. I can't wait for folks to get their hands on their copy (or heck, copies!) And, since it's a 13-month calendar, you don't have to wait until January - you can start using it ob December 1!
I'd recommend ordering soon though - these are limited edition, quantities are limited, kind of things! :)

I want to ask, where does Kobold Press announce new releases? I wouldn't know Dark Fey or Mayhem Beneath Demon Mountain came out if DriveThruRPG hadn't shouted it at me. Kobold Press site is a bit of a cesspool (it's not really updated, and the forum has been spammed when I checked today).
Also interested when a new patronage project will be in production...still don't understand how that works if you could be kind to explain a bit more.
Sorry for the oftopic, but Kobold Press is my curently favorite 3pp company, so I really want to know about new stuff! Thank you!

The Kobold Press site is updated with new content every weekday on the blog. Most of it is free, playable stuff, some of it is product announcements. Dark Fey and Mayhem were both announced there.
The Kobold forums are indeed spammed daily and relentlessly. I'm shutting those forums down, most likely today, for exactly the reason you mention: they are a mess. It's amazing how much work it is to keep them even mildly clean. The forum software lacks any plug-ins or protection.
The current patronage project is in production: it's the Deep Magic Kickstarter. More information on patronage at the patronage FAQ.
The easiest way to learn about the new stuff is to sign up for the Kobold Courier newsletter. There's a black signup box at the very bottom of this page. We also announce new products on the Kobold Press Facebook page, Twitter feed, and here on the Paizo forums.
Whew. Can we talk about the calendar a bit? :D

Who did the artwork?
Some of the artists are mentioned in the store copy above.
Artists include the likes of Ben Wootten, Craig Spearing, Aaron Miller, Ralph Horsley and Mercel Marcado (the artist that did the amazing Deep Magic cover)
When you see the art in person, I guarantee you will be quite impressed!
In fact, that's one of the cool things about this calendar - once the year is up, you still have 13 great pieces of fantasy art by top-name artists which you could actually frame if you wanted.

Yes, the calendar is also available through the Kobold Press store.
I was hoping you would say Amazon with prime shipping :) There's actually some weird stuff that comes up when you type in Kobold Press in the search bar at Amazon...
Anyway, thanks for the link. Work computer won't let me create an account so I'll have to wait to get home to see if its a better deal.

Posted this up in the main product section, but I wanted to take a moment to spot-light one of the cool aspects of this calendar (other than top-quality production and awesome art work, that is :) so I thought I might post it here as well :)
Each month of the 2014 Kobold Press Calendar is loaded with lots of cool, interesting and/or fun dates that gamers and fantasy / sci-fi fans will love, including things like:
- Release dates of iconic games, past and present
- Release dates of landmark fantasy and science fiction movies
- Birthdays of famous science fiction and fantasy writers, and gaming professionals, including the birthdays of a few Paizonians, some Wizards, and the Kobold crew!
So, as we wait for the calendars to make they way across the country to the Paizo and Kobold Press warehouses, I thought it might be fun to throw out just a few of the things you'll learn IF you get your hands on a copy of the 2014 Kobold Press Calendar (before they're all gone, that is! :)
Here's the first one:
Which famous fantasy author and fantasy artist share a birthday?

Two more fun / interesting fantasy factoids you'd know the answers to IF you had a copy of the limited edition 2014 Kobold Press Calendar posted up in the main product thread:
Let's hear your guesses - who knows, maybe there's even a prize if someone gets them all correct (probably not, but it's good to have dreams, right :)

It looks like the Kobold Press 2014 Calendar should be arriving at the Paizo warehouses any day now!
Since we're getting so close, there's another fun question / factoid posted up in the main product forum. Feel free to post your guess there OR you can wait until you get your copy of the calendar and find out for yourself!

Cool! I think you'll be pleased!
Speaking of the calendar, they arrived at Kobold Press World Headquarters yesterday and should be in the Paizo warehouse sometime today.
These are very much a collectible, limited edition kind of thing, so if you want to be sure to get a copy, now is definitely the time to order :)

Quick reminder that the 2014 Kobold Press Calendar is now available.
Be sure to order yours now - as folks are now starting to order theirs, these will be going fast! If you wait to order until closer to the end of the year, it might be too late. Plus, since these are 13-month calendars, which actually start with December of *this* year, if you order now you can start using and enjoying your calendar practically right away :)
Oh, and I posted the next fun factoid you would know if you had your copy of the calendar up in the main product thread :)

Just a friendly reminder since these are in limited quantity - now is the time to order if you want them in time for Holiday gifts. What fantasy gamer wouldn't want a calendar with awesome fantasy art and all sorts of dates and factoids specifically relevant to geeks and gamers alike? Get one for each member of your gaming group!
And, since this is a 13 month calendar, if you get yours this month, you can actually start using and enjoying it on December 1st of this year still!
And heck, lame calendars printed on much flimsier paper you pick up at a shopping mall kiosk cost more than this - at less than $10, the 2014 Kobold Press Calendar is an amazing deal :)

With the start of the new year, Kobold Press has reduced the price of the Kobold Press 2014 Calendar - from the already great price of $9.99 down to the even MORE amazinger $7.99!
So ... brand new year, multiple 5-star reviews and now a discounted price ... What are you waiting for? :)

Nice addition on birthdays. Where are Monte Cook, Jonathan Tweet, Robin D. Laws? Those were names I'd expect to see on there.
Belated reply: not everyone's birthday is public information, and some people prefer not to share the date. So... Not all names are there. Maybe for next year's edition, though.
