My GM has a campaign in mind which is forcing us to take either our 1st or 2nd level as a Bard. I have looked through all the guides and am still stuck on a few feats. I would appreciate any help and/or advice.
We roll our stats an old fashioned way, 4d6, drop lowest and reroll any 1's. So no stats so far.
Aasimar Oracle/Bard
1stlevel Oracle: Traits - Magical knack, Reactionary and alternate racial trait Heavenborn. Feat - Extra Revelation. Revelations - Channel and Energy body. Mystery – Life. Curse – Haunted. Favored class is Oracle.
2nd level Bard: Arcane duelist archetype.
3rd level Oracle: Feat – Improved initiative. Revelation – Life Link
5th level Oracle: Feat –
7th level Oracle: Feat –
9th level Oracle: Feat –
11th level Oracle: Feat –
Thx in advance.

I have a human Oracle I built that should have your GM pulling his hair out. This is a complete support character until about level seven when your save or sucks and DPS spells come online. You charisma is high so go ahead and take a face skill.
Your stats should be ridiculous with those rolls. Stats are Cha > Con > Dex = Str > Wis = Int.
This is a Lawful Neutral channeler that uses their swift in the round for their misfortune. This build channels positive energy to heal if needed and otherwise buffs/ debuffs/ aids others/ attacks with spells. Eventually you have the arcane bloodline from eldritch heritage to give yourself an improved familiar with regneration 2 Chaotic that you cast shield other on between it and your tank. Make sure your party that needs healing and rerolls stays within thirty feet of you.
Since you have to take a level of bard and you already have magical knack it may be worth dipping into cleric for the two domains and an out of combat small channel pool that can be easily boosted with a phylactery of positive channel energy. You don't lose any curse progression as outside classes count as half a level of oracle. If you do go with the cleric dip play a worshiper of Abadar and take the travel and law domains.
You don't need extra revelation feats with dual cursed as it comes packaged with two extra already. I used a human in my game, but the Aasamir is a better Channeler with their favored class bonus. You lose the feat, skills points, and extra spells favored class bonus you get as a human. If you want a more versatile character I would take Human. I will build as an Aasamir in case that is set in stone.
Race: Aasamir( Use Agathion blooded if possible) Favored class bonus +1/2 level to Oracle Channel Revelation for all choices until channel is maxed.
1st: -Dual Cursed Oracle of Life- Magical knack, Reactionary and alternate racial trait Heavenborn. Feat - Fey Foundling. Revelations - Channel. Mystery – Life. Curse – Haunted, non improving Curse *whatever you want, I took blackened* Favored class is Oracle.
2nd: -Bard- I also like the detective for the party buff but whatever you want here.
3rd: -Dual Cursed Oracle of Life- Feat: Selective Channel.
4th: -Dual Cursed Oracle of Life- Revelation: Misfortune. Stat: +Charisma
5th: -Dual Cursed Oracle of Life- Feat: Eldritch Heritage - Arcane. Arcane Bond Familiar. Take compsognathus or greensting scorpion to stand in for your improved initiative we axed for fey foundling.
6th: -Dual Cursed Oracle of Life- Revelation: Life Link
7th: -Dual Cursed Oracle of Life- Feat: Open, take a craft feat, extra channels, extra revelation, or whatever.
8th: -Dual Cursed Oracle of Life- Revelation: Energy Body. Stat: +Charisma
9th: -Dual Cursed Oracle of Life- Feat: Improved Familiar Inevitable Avatar.
10th: -Dual Cursed Oracle of Life-
11th: Dip cleric or continue Oracle progression
At this point you are a healing maniac. If you have a phylactery of positive channeling you selectively channel for 9d6. You want to get a rod of splendor for charisma as your headband slot is taken by the phylactery. Once you can get a lesser rod of quicken, your opening is quickened ill omen, followed by standard cast of bestow curse. On high HD baddies -6 Constitution to do 3hp per hit die instantly. Otherwise take the big baddy and have him sit around 50% of the time. After that save your swift action to use with misfortune.

some background on why you have to take a bard level would be helpful... as would some indication of why you want a life oracle and/or what you hope to get out of it...
if you just want a general healer, archaen's build is solid. personally, for an aasimar i'd use tongues (celestial) for one of the curses... also, Imp Familiar uses caster level (which thanks to your racial SLA is always equal to character level), not effective sorc level (so you might as well take it at 7th instead of 9th).
if you post more details (and i see them, find something interesting/intriguing, and have a little free time) i may try to post some more specific advice.

GM has this "get the band back together idea" that is why we have to dip with bard (personally I hate it). The reason I choose a Life oracle was because he wanted to play a healer and we have never play tested the class so I wanted to see it and with him being new he left creative license with me.
I thought I posted last night with a thx for the build, I do not see the post so I will say thx and that it looks great, may even switch from Aasimar to human.

i see... i like oracle (or cleric) for this because it should provide at least one opportunity to say "we're on a mission from God" (on the off chance that quote doesn't sound familiar, make sure you watch the Blues Brothers before the campaign begins).
if nobody in your group has played an oracle before you might want to think about dropping dual-cursed just to simplify a little bit.

What about something like this for a build?

2nd level Bard with the Detective archetype.
3rd level Oracle: Feat is Skill focus – Knowledge religion. Revelation is Energy body.
4th level Oracle: Revelation is Misfortune. Stat increase is +1 to charisma.
5th level Oracle: Feat is Eldritch Heritage - Arcane. Take the Arcane Bond Familiar with the Compsonagthus as the familiar (+4 to initiative). Revelation is Fortune.
6th level Oracle: Revelation is Enhanced cures.
7th level Oracle: Feat is Extra revelation of Life link.
8th level Oracle: Revelation is Safe curing. Stat increase is +1 to charisma.
