Does Suli favored class bonus damage for monk get multiplied by criticals

Rules Questions

As the title says.

For reference:
Elemental Assault (Su) Once per day as a swift action, a suli can shroud her arms in acid, cold, electricity, or fire. This lasts for one round per level, and can be dismissed as a free action. Unarmed strikes with her arms or hands (or attacks with weapons held in those hands) deal +1d6 points of damage of the appropriate energy type.

Favored Class Options
Monk: Add +1/2 point of damage to elemental assault.

On one hand it's static damage bonus, so it should be multiplied. On the other hand, it's a static damage bonus riding on a bonus dice.

So I'm not sure. Opinions? FAQs?

I'm not sure, but I would say it's not multiplied because it's essentially just extra bonus dice damage. I could see it ruled either way though to be honest.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'd say no because it is a bonus to ability that is not multiplied by critical hits.

Does this mean that Elemental Assault damage dice do not double on a critical?

No, bonus die (elemental assault, sneak attack) never double on critical, only numeric bonuses (STR, enhancement, etc...) do.
