Eidolon unbound - summoner's managerie feat polish

Product Discussion

I taked the edioln unbound book and i finded the idea of the talent Summoner's managerie really interesting.
The only thing is ythat i see this talent too much powerful with the specific showed. I'm thinking to polish it assigning 2 or 3 talent needed as requirments.
What do you think must be the better choices?

I remember buying this PDF some time before Ultimate Magic came out. The Broodmaster archetype from Ultimate Magic is the official counterpart to Summoner's Menagerie -- I would use that instead of the Summoner's Menagerie feat.

mmm.. yes, i have seen the broodmaster nut i find him a little lacking on the flavour side.
Differently,re-reading the feat i 'have seen that isn't so much strong. He give you more versatility, not so differently to the fgeat of pathfinder that expand your summons list.
So i will give it a try.

This is the third time i whip this out today but On the left hand side of this is an alternate system by which to level the multiple minions of a brood master summoner or things such as the pack lord druid.

It makes the individual eidolons/animal companions more powerful, because straight up splitting you levels and evolution points between them will simply result in one or more of them being utterly useless at a certain point.

Which product is this?

I suspect this thread should be in 3PP products, or Paizo Products, but not sure which one.

I think Thorthunder is talking about Eidolons unbound by Skortched Urf' Studios

If you are asking about my link, that's actually written and layouted by me, as an idea for the Homebrew Collection Project.

Yes, this is my point for the broodmaster. For this reason i think thaht the summoner's menagerie feat is a beter choice.

I don't know what exactly Summoner's Menagerie does, but my version is based on the same principle by which encounters are built to a certain CR. And since those encounter building rules so far proved to be fair in my experience, so should the multi-companion/eidolon rules that i derived from them.

Summoner's menagerie Give you another eidolon calculated with the level of the summoner -5. You can take this talent more than one time taking an increase of the penalty of -5. You can summon only an eidolon at time.

Then it's quite different from the broodmaster actually. Summoner's Menagerie basically just means you get an alternative weaker eidolon in case your primary one dies, or isn't equipped for something you need done (like your feat-eidolon has wings and mount, so you use it to travel, while the primary eidolon is a pure combat creature). I don't think that is overpowered.

Yes, now i too think that. i made some test and i have seen that is quite balanced. so i will take it^^.
