She nods, "I see....so your people took your daughter and sacrificed her? I'm sorry...that must have been awful. Here I thought I had it rough...I can't explain it, but I just saw something in you that made me think there had to be something that happened. People...most people, don't choose to be alone for just no good reason. I was alone for a long long time....but I can't imagine having something that important taken from me." She says as she empathizes with her. Looking up at her she says, "I'm really sorry if I upset you earlier, I didn't mean to. I was just trying to understand."
She takes the chance and puts a hand lightly on her shoulder, "Oh...I'm so sorry. No one should have to be alone that long. I've suffered pain and loneliness...but nothing like that. I didn't lose anyone I cared about....my parents just sold me to a disgusting pig of a man to pay off their gambling debts. What he did to me...makes the things they did to me look like a day at the park or something....but....that's nothing compaired to what you've been through, or what you've lost and I am just so so sorry. I'm sorry I was such a brat at first...I just...I didn't understand and just thought you were being mean to me for no reason" She stops for a moment and thinks about something. Pausing for a moment she asks, "Why me? Why did you want to tell me when I acted like such an obnoxious brat?"
Tehanna looked into Eri's eyes and placed a hand on her cheek, "You. Understand. Better." Quickly, the Dark Elf leaned in and kissed Eri, but only for a moment before pulling back.
There was a look of shock on her face. Standing up, she quickly put distance between herself and the young Surfacer. "Mistake. Sorry. Leave. Please."
Congratulations...you completely caught me off guard. I did Not see that coming
S.S.:
She continues to sit there, her mouth forming a large 'O' of surprise as she tries to make sense of what just happened. She wasn't sure she would be able to stay standing if she got up, so she stays where she is for the moment. After the initial shock wears off she looks up at her even though she still feels a little confused, "You...you kissed me? I...I'm not upset. I do understand, you've been hurting and lonely for a really long time, and it's okay to have these feelings....I mean it's normal. I...I just wasn't expecting it is all. It's not really a mistake, just maybe not while your feelings are so raw and you're vulnerable right now." Sighing she takes a breath and gets up off the couch. Going over to her, Eri puts her arms around her and gives her a hug, "You're not wrong for having feelings, and I'm not gonna leave you alone right now. Do you feel a little better getting it off your chest now?" She asks, holding onto the distraught Drow.
I don't think she ever told Eri her name...
Ravan watches the exchange between Eri and Tehanna, intrigued at her friend's flash of insight into the dark elven woman. As Aleister chimes in with his usual charm, she smiles slightly at the response, nodding when Eri indicates she was alright to follow Tehanna. Interesting.
When Gio comes back from his little foray, she frowns. "Interesting. I suppose whatever she says to Eri may decide if and how we explore that." she says with a shrug.
Whatever resolve Tehanna had melted away when Eri embraced her. After a brief moment, the Elf hugged back, and after a very long moment, she gazed into Eri's eyes, then kissed her again. This time however, it was lingering, and rather passionate.
....I might need a bit. Not sure how to react. Still sleepy and fuzzy feeling and really not what I was expecting....like at all. I promise I'll respond after a little more sleep.
Aleister puts his weapon away with a sigh. 'I'm not sure Eri knows what that word means.'"I'm Aleister, the noisy one is Eri, the quiet one is Giordano and the spicy one is Ravan. We're exploring and we're not here to be uncivilized."
Again she was surprised by the kiss. Her eyes get a little large as Tehanna kisses her again. She almost jerks back, her muscles tightning a bit, but the passion behind the kiss stops her. This was something more than loneliness, it was need and desire mixed with something else...yet, she didn't feel like it was being forced on her. Her muscles seem to relax, and her body becomes more pliant as she submits to the kiss. No one was ever this gentle or passionate with her before. Most just took what they wanted from her, were rough about it, and didn't care if she liked it or not. This...was different. With all these thoughts swirling around in her head, it was hard for her to know what she wss really feeling....but maybe she didn't need to know right now. Maybe the contact was enough for now, it felt good and after a few short moments, Eri found herself returning the kiss. Bringing one hand lower, she rests it in the small of Tehanna's back, while bringing her other hand up to gently caress her neck before gently cradling it in her hand as she presses herself closer to Tehanna and deepens the kiss, dipping her slightly as she does so.
After the kiss, Eri is panting and trying to catch her breath. Standing in front of Tehanna, her eyes fill with tears. Bringing a hand up she gently touches it to her cheek, "I...I don't know what to say." She says as a tear slips down her cheek. Putting her arms around her again, she lays her head against her chest. She didn't know what to do with these feelings, and no one had touched her in a nice way for so long, she didn't even realize how much she needed the contact, till now. The fact that someone was being gentle and loving with her, was almost too much forf her heart to handle. As she leans into Tehanna, more tears fall from her eyes.
I'm sorry it's so long. It took me a bit to figure out her reaction to....just everything really. I mean...Tehanna didn't exactly ask permission, but she's not forcing herself on Eri either...so, that's a new experience for her. She's understandably emotional.
Okay...okay, so maybe I am a bit submissive. You were right. I guess itg just takes thed right person for me to submit to. Someone who understands what it's like to hurt and knows what it's like to be alone.
Tehanna tilted Eri's chin up to look into her eyes, "Not. The. Time. Work. To. Be. Done."
Getting up, the Dark Elf went through the bag again. This time, she pulled out a pair of silver circlets with a blue gem mounted on it. Offering one to Eri, she said, "Take. Put. On. When. Gem. Glows."
She nods and wipes her eyes, "Okay, I know you're right. We need to get this figured out." She says, taking the circlet from her. Looking up into her eyes she asks, "Maybe...maybe when we're all done here you can come back with us? Then you won't be alone anymore." With the circlet in one hand, she reaches out with her other for Tehanna's hand, "I just....I don't want to leave you here alone when we go."
As the rest of you were deciding what to do next, Tehanna and Eri came back. You're not sure what happened, but their demeanor seems to have.......shifted.
When they return to the others, Eri just stands quietly at Tehanna's side looking at the ground. She wasn't sure why Tehanna didn't want her to talk about what happened, maybe she was ashamed of her? Maybe she just didn't want to talk about her feelings with the others yet? Did she do something wrong? She wasn't sure, but she didn't want to betray Tehanna's trust, so she kept quiet.
Noting the circlet in Eri's hand, and more importantly the shift in body language and attitude between both women, Ravan suppresses the urge to smile. Clearly they'd bonded in some way, despite the brief period of time.
Eri didn't understand why she was acting so differently now, but it was clear she didn't want her to be with her the way they were in the room. She didn't know why she thought she had to put up such a tough front around the others, maybe she didn't really like her and she was just using her to fulfill some kind of need she was having at the moment. She didn't think she felt that way, but it was so hard to tell and now she was acting like nothing happened at all. Maybe she would explain it to her at some point...maybe. Not knowing what else to do she just kind of steps away from the others and looks down at the circlet in her hands before putting it in her backpack and wiping her eyes. She knew she could trust the others to figure this out, they didn't need her anyways. No one did apparently, she thinks to herself with her back to the others so they couldn't see the hurt look on her face.
The grinding sound of stone sliding against reverberates as the door opens. On the other side is a small alcove with some sort of ornate stone chest sitting next to a stone column carved to look like a Dwarf Warrior of some type with an upraised axe.
