Another blessings pile question

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Is there ever a time that the blessings pile will not be advanced? Somewhat related... When a character moves, can they explore on that same turn or do they have to spend an Ally or Blessings card of their own to explore?

First question: Not that I am aware of.

Second question: Yes, afaik. In the rulebook it states that you take your turn by going through the following steps in order. (pg 9)

Advance the Blessings Deck (req)
Give a Card (opt)
Move (opt)
Explore (opt)
Close a Location (opt)
Reset Your Hand (req)
End Your Turn (req)

So, you can give a card to someone at your current location, then move, then explore the location you moved to, AND, if no cards are left, you could also attempt to close it. All in one turn, as long as it follows that order.

To my knowledge, no. It's possible they'll release something like a location card or scenario card that prevents you from having to advance the blessings deck. But under all normal circumstances, you always advance the blessings deck at the start of your turn.

Your turn consists of the following steps, in order:

1. Advance the Blessings Deck
2. Give a Card to another character at the same location (optional)
3. Move to another location (optional)
4. Explore the top card of the location deck (optional)
5. Try to Close a Location if it doesn’t have any cards (optional)
6. Reset Your Hand
7. End Your Turn

So you can always move first, then explore. I'm pretty sure there's nothing in the rulebook that suggests you can't explore after moving.

EDIT: Out-ninja'ed!
