Chase Rules - Question on Option to move 3

Can you help me understand the option to move 3 boxes?

Lets say you have a 5 box chase. You decide to take a standard action to move 3 boxes. Why do you have to pass just 2 tests to move three boxes? Why would you not try this every time instead of taking a turn to move just one box?

I know I am not reading this right - thanks for the clarification.

Simple. One, it's a full round action, not a standard. Two, you have to make both checks on the same box. If you fail either of them, then you don't move at all.

Ok, I think was getting confused on the actions -

So if the first card has an acrobatics check and the second card has a climb check - on a normal chase, a character could use 2 move actions plus his to checks (acrobatics and climb) to get by 2 cards assuming he passes his checks. This this right?

But if a character spends a full round, he just does the 2 obsticles on his current location and skips the challenges on the next 2 cards, is that right?

Yup. That's pretty much it. But, if he fails either of the two, he goes nowhere at all.
