Are the extra cards more of the same from the base set? all new? a mixture?

If a mixture how many new cards (outside of the character cards) are unique versus the base set?

If you look at the character record sheets on paizo site they have a C next to all the cards that come from the character addon. I think there is like a good 10 or so that are unique to the addon. Like the monks fist item and some animal companions for the druid.

Cards, other than the characters, unique to the Character Add-On Deck:

Weapons: Greatsword, Icy Longspear +1, Deathbane Light Crossbow +1, Allying Dart +1

Items: Sage's Journal, Amulet of Mighty Fists, Crown of Charisma, Eyes of the Eagle

Allies: Dog, Snake, Sabretooth Tiger

Monster: Satyr

Barrier: Secret Stash

Here's a question that I've been held up on.

If I'm only playing with one other person (2 people total), should I add in all the cards from the character add-on pack? I'm feeling I should just add in the unique cards, since adding in all the extras that I already have in the base set, would bloat the boon distribution.

You can go ahead and add them all in. It doesn't change the number of boons you have the opportunity to acquire—it just increases the diversity a bit. And increasing the number of copies of any given boon by 1 or 2 isn't going to break the game.
