Grant Favored Enemy Bonus to Others

I am a learning GM and have a baddie that can grant favoried enemy bonus to his soldiers.

How does this work? I thought this bonus would only work on the person who has the favored enemy feat.

Its a fourth level ranger ability. Look it up.

You can take that ability if you don't want the animal companion.

Thanks guys. The AP said nothing about Hunters Bond, just the favored enemy bonus, so I did not know to look at the ranger's skills.

It makes sense now - half the favored enemy bonus can go to all allies within 30 feet.

A published adventure is going to make assumptions about what a GM knows and does not know, with varied results. In your case, it could have been missed in the editing process, or the source of the ability could have been omitted for brevity.
