Multiple Chronicle rewards.... encountered a problem

Pathfinder Society

How many of the rewards on a Chronicle can be bought off of one sheet
over the life of your character? I ask this because of a fellow player just might be abusing it. On most Chronicle sheets , some rewards are just
stated and others say ( limit one ) even on the same sheet. This is for all the items, potions, scrolls and magic items. It seems to say that the items listed with the (limit one) is just that and the others there is only the limit of funds, even though some potions and scrolls and the like may be level 2 , 3 or 4 and not on the readily available list, price wise. What I believe is,that it is an oversight on Paizo's part and they need to make a standard of the wording on the Chronicles.

If the chronicle doesn't state a limit, then there is not one. At least not as far as I know.

However, this is rarely an issue, as most stuff on chronicles can be bought, anyways, by the time the character has earned the chronicle.

Do you have an example?

Yes...maybe spoiler..
On my 3rd Chronicle sheet, it has a wand at CL 3 (limit one) and then also has.. 6 different potions at 300 gp no limit stated and a Bag of Holding type I with no limit stated. My character cant really afford the bag quite yet but will before I get the Fame to buy it.

In that example, you can buy as many of the potions and type I bags as you can afford, just as if you had the Fame required to purchase them normally.

Grand Lodge 4/5

I know, offhand, of only one Chronicle which offered a non-standard item, a wand of CLW with 25 charges, IIRC, that was not limited in quantity. And that scenario, IIRC, is now retired.

Most things that are "standard" items, like normal potions, scrolls, wands, magic armor, weapons, shields, wondrous items, etc., that are identical to the item in the sourcebook it is from, are typically unlimited, as all you need to purchase them is enough Fame and the sourcebook.

Items that are non-standard in either number of charges, caster level, or quantity (ammunition in lots less than 50, for example), usually have a purchase limit. Mostly one, when it is a single item in non-standard format (wands, for example), or a limited quantity (5, 10, 15, for example) for ammunition in less than 50 pieces magical lots.

Most standard items, with no quantity limit, are items that your PC might just gain access to before their Fame would normally allow it, but, frequently, by the time you want the second one, you would have enough Fame to open purchase of it, anyhow.
