Deadly Blow + Butterfly's Sting

Rules Questions

Sczarni

I am currently building a critical-focused duo with my brother in Pathfinder Society and we decided to do a good ol' Butterfly's Sting combo, him with 18-20 critial threat weapons and myself with a scythe. We've looked on the Student of Wat PrC and we are asking ourselves what are the mechanics between Deadly Blow and Butterfly's Sting.

Butterfly’s Sting (Critical)
You can forgo a critical hit in order to pass it on to an ally.

Prerequisite: Combat Expertise.

Benefit: When you confirm a critical hit against a creature, you can choose to forgo the effect of the critical hit and grant a critical hit to the next ally who hits the creature with a melee attack before the start of your next turn. Your attack only deals normal damage, and the next ally automatically confirms the hit as a critical.

Deadly Blow (Su)

At 10th level, the student’s awareness of her studied foe allows her to find weak spots where none should exist. A student of war who uses her know your enemy ability and beats the Knowledge check DC by 10 or more may ignore the target’s natural damage reduction and immunity to critical hits and sneak attacks. This does not apply to immunities granted by spells, environmental effects, or equipment.

If my brother is a Student of War with Deadly Blow and Butterfly's Sting, could he give me a critical hit versus a creature immune to critical hits even if I'm not a Student of War?

No. The one delivering the critical hit must have the Deadly Blow. So in this case both would require Deadly Blows to crit a normally un-crit-able critter.
