Seelah power

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

When you use Seelah power to look at the top card of her location deck, it was my understanding that she HAD to put the card at the bottom of the deck if it's a boon. I've looked at a demo video and they played as if she has a choice to leave on top or put it at the bottom. Wich is right?

Grand Lodge

Based on the wording of the card it looks like a non-optional condition. 'If it's a boon, put it on the bottom of the deck.'

Otherwise it would say something like 'If it's a boon, you may put it on the bottom of the deck.'

Liberty's Edge

Yeah, that's what I tought.

Liberty's Edge

Yea, I was confused by that also. I agree with you, that it should be all or nothing, but the video seems to contradict that. I hope Mike sees this thread and clarifies that for us, because if it is a choice, that is a huge power.

I have not seen the example video, so this may be very obvious, but when her power says you move it "to the bottom of the deck." Is that the location deck or your deck?

In the rulebook under Seelah's character it says the following on page 19

rulebook wrote:

"

Seelah, the paladin Seelah can wield swords and spells with equal skillfulness, and excels when on the defense. She turns blessings into
damage, and her armors can handle most assaults. Seelah can also scope
out the locations she’s exploring, but don’t expect her to hang on to
treasure—she’s looking for evildoers to smite. "

From this I think we can reasonably assume that the fellow tox played this wrong. ofcourse this is part of the flavor text in the rulebook , but I would be really surprised if putting boons on the bottom was optional.

And it should be put on the bottom of the location deck else the power would be very OP, "put it on the bottom of the deck."

Your interacting with the location deck and the power doesn't say character deck, so it would go under the location deck.

This also makes sense with the Paladin's idiom of not holding onto material wealth.

Thanks for the insights guys, makes sense.

I believe the only option is whether to look or not--if you look, you have to move it to the bottom if it's a boon.

Not a choice. Seelah has no desire for more stuff, just things to bash.
