Do I have this straight?
I want to make an Eidolon that can craft items.
1. As long as I take Basic Magic and his caster level is appropriate, then he meets the prereqs for Item Crafting Feats? So an Eidolon with 3 HD (and thus caster level 3) would qualify for the Craft Wondrous Item Feat?
2. The Eidolon can Craft an item without the meeting the prereqs by adding +5 to the DC? So he could craft a Belt of Incredible Dexterity+4 choosing to make it CL 3 for a DC 8+5 (not having spell) for a total of DC 13?
3. If the Eidolon has neither the caster level to cast the appropriate spell nor the spell on his spell list, can he still make a Wondrous Item that requires that spell?
Let's say he wants to make a Pearl of Power for lvl 5 spells.
He sets the caster level at 1 to make it easy not carrying about dispels and the like.
So does that work like this:
Base DC 6 (CL 1 + Base 5) +5 (Unable to cast lvl 5 spells) = Total DC 11
Is that how Item Crafting works? So you don't need spell prereqs with SLAs or the actual spell or caster level on your list?

The minimum caster level of a item is the level needed to cast the relevant spell.
The Pearl of power is used as an example in the relevant FAQ post and the minimum caster level for it is the level needed to cast the spell it will allow you to recover.
A Pearl of Power that will allow you to recover 5th level spells has a minimum CL of 9.

I don't think you even need to meet the minimum caster level for a spell to craft an item from what I've been reading. I'd like to know if that is a correct interpretation.
Yes, it is correct. AFAIK you don't even need to add +5 to the difficult of crafting a item simply because you lack the appropriate level.
To return to the 5th level pearl of power:
Requirements: Craft Wondrous Item, creator must be able to cast spells of the spell level to be recalled;
So recalling a 5th level spell will set the CL to 9
The DC is 5 + 9 (Caster level) = 14
There is no spell requirement.
Your eidolon with 3 HD and 3 skill point in spellcraft only need a +3 from another source to overcome his intelligence penalty and making it an automatic success when taking 10.
(And yes, you can take 10 when making a magical item.)
