Inquisitors and swift action management

Advice

Liberty's Edge

For any of you guys that have played inquisitors, have you had difficulty with the abundance of abilities that uses swift actions? Both Bane and Judgments uses swift actions, and if you rely on boots for Haste, that'll require another swift action. How do you guys manage this? Are we allowed to substitute a move action to use a swift action instead?

Inquisitors need some time to bring all their "buffs" up, but if e.g. judgement & bane is up, you don't need swift actions to keep them running.

Also in multi-encounter per day adventures you don't want to "waste" all of them at the same time.

For tracking which "buff" is active, I used a note-card, wrote down all judgements, spells etc. and then put a paperclip on the active ones.

No, you are not. Like the magus (my current class), swift actions are a resource that you have to manage. Decisions, decisions... :)

Well, once you reach level 8, you can last pretty much through all encounters with your Judgments and Bane (with feats/items). I guess that means it'll always take at least 2 rounds of buffs, or 3 rounds if you want Haste as well. D'oh. Nevermind the Litany spells............

My level 5 Inquisitor is the party tank so I rarely wait to buff........I usually Bane in round 1 b/c I want my first attack to really do some damage. By the time Im up in round 2 we've got a good sense of whether or not the battle is going to need the extra kick of a Judgment. We are definitely one of those 'multi-encounter per day' groups so I tend to be stingy about my Judgments.
