buying skill bonus with PP

skill check bonus or is it a permanent bonus?

One shot. The wording is "+4 on any one skill check." If it were permanent, it would be +4 on any one skill.

Also, if you could get a permanent +4 to a skill for 1PP, everybody and their brother would be advising people to pump their Perception up with Prestige right after they spent their first two on a CLW wand.
