I know you can choose to apply a Scenario chronicle sheet to a level 1 character by reducing gold gain to 500, but can you do this with a Adventure Path Chronicle sheet?

In short yes. A little more detail. AP Chronicle sheets are handled as if you had played a module. You can put a AP Chronicle sheet on a level 1 character with a reduction in gold to 1,398 (699 on slow advancement). This is provided you played with a pregen character above level 1 (or with APs in Home Game Mode). Hope this helps.
