I'm looking at experimenting with the extra trait feat (which gives 2 extra traits) for my next character. I don't have any other ideas about the character than that other than we start at first level.
So any ideas for race/class/feat/combo's that are a little unusual and interesting enough to design a character around?

I did a social PFS hellknight to be using this.
Trait - Combat
Defender of the Society (Fighter, Pathfinder Society) - faction guide
Your time spent fighting and studying the greatest warriors of the Society has taught you new defensive skills while wearing armor.
Benefit: You gain a +1 trait bonus to Armor Class when wearing medium or heavy armor.
Trait - Regional
Aspiring Hellknight (Regional-Cheliax, Inner Sea Primer)
Your family has a long tradition of service in the Hellknights, and your strict upbringing and training have given you a forceful aura of command.
Benefit: You gain a +1 trait bonus on Intimidate checks, and Intimidate is always a class skill for you.
Trait (Faith)
Indomitable Faith +1 Will Save
Trait Chelish faction (campaign trait)
Fiendish Presence: Your family routinely held court with pit fiends and erinyes when you were a child, and as a result, you learned to manipulate people better than most. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Diplomacy and Sense Motive checks. One of these skills (your choice) is always a class skill for you - Diplomacy
Indomitable faith can be switched out but I like it for the + to will.
Aspiring Hellknight is a fluff trait but given the character has 8 Cha it brings intimidate back up somewhat.
Diplomacy is never a bad thing, and Fiendish Presence gives me a + to sense motive (which becomes a class skill when I reach the PrC) and Diplomacy as a class skill, again with a +1 that offsets the characters 8 Charisma.
The Defender trait? It just rocks.

I used extra traits to take "calashmai veteran" (for perception as a class skill and "helpful" as an adopted trait (familiarity with halflings) to maximize aid other attempts.
My character was a cleric of desna with bit of luck as a domain ability, so between aid other and rerolls I provided + buffs for good measure -- I could SERIOUSLY mitigate risk for out of combat skill checks -- and bit of luck, if you like the support role, is fun for combat too!
