Guidance making an combat check magic

Encountered a Spectre which requires magic to defeat it. Does guidance give the druids strength based melee combat check the magic trait? It does not specifically say it does 'and gives the magic trait', but its a spell and is magical. I have a feeling it does not, but I wanted to check.

I read somewhere else that if you use an item to influence a check then that check gains the attributes of the item. So if the item says it is "Magical" then I think the answer is yes.
