Enlarge / Reduce Person Question

Rules Questions

When using the spell Enlarge Person the size category of the target becomes large, but more importantly to this question, their reach becomes 10ft. Since the reach of their melee weapon increases, would that have any effect of the range of thrown weapons? Thrown weapons normally have a range of 10ft, but would being large make any difference to that?

I would say no

No effect on the range of thrown weapons. Sorry. :)

I assumed so. That does seem odd that their thrown weapon is within their melee weapon range...

Not the first oddity and wont be the last. :)

Thrown weapons don't have a range of 10 ft, they have a "range increment" of 10 ft. You can throw further, just at a penalty.

At least, I think that's true, nobody in my game throws stuff.

It is true. :)

Thrown weapons have a maximum of 5 range increments. Other ranged weapons have a maximum of 10 range increments. (CRB p144 under 'Range')

That's odd. They can swing their fists that far, but can't throw a dagger from the same reach? I would house-rule it, if it's official you can't.
