Grand Lodge

Going to my first PFS game tomorrow! Hopefully they can fit me in because it looks like their will be a lot of people there. A bit worried that I am spreading my character too thin in stats because I want to be able to max my sneak attack options (flank, stealth, feinting and damage) but I think I will just roll with it, not every character needs to be a min/max!

Good luck; I hope you enjoy it!

Bear in mind that if you're not happy with your PC's build, you can rebuild them completely between scenarios until you play at 2nd level, so you do have some time to see how things play out.

Nope they don't. 'Tis more important that you have fun playing the character you want to. I think the min/maxers will be happy to give you flanking too :)

The idea is to sneak attack with a Great Sword (3d6!) and thinking of taking the fient feat chain because it the only real thing I can see at least feat wise to increase my sneak attack ability.

Grand Lodge 1/5

Reminds me of my character Yakumo! (Rogue with 16 Str and a no-dachi!) ^_^ He was supposed to be my homage to Kikuchiyo from 7 Samurai...

Enjoy~!

There is the Combat Expertise/Gang Up feat chain, but that requires two other melee types in your party to work. But it does also open up the Improved Dirty Trick feat chain, and blinding your opponent, even for one round, opens him up for a full attack sneak attack...

Smart play beats smart builds.

Positioning and such is much more important. If you never get your sneak attack off then in the fight you are a weaker fighter for that fight.

One thing I do with my tank axebeak is purposely provoke to give other players positioning. Then you can walk past them easier and flank. So just play with good teammates and you should be awesome.
