Gold Optimization

Advice

Playing a 10th level Wizard with a WBL of 8. Looking for advice on optimizing my gold for equipment and spells. I plan on creating a golem in the next 5 levels, so having some gold left over may be a good thing. I'm just so indecisive.

Thank for all the input in advance.

Get craft item feats. If you can 'loan' out your crafting prowess to other players for a meager sum (say, 10%), the extra gold you earn will add up quickly.

Scribe extra spells using other spellbooks instead of scrolls. This is CONSIDERABLY cheaper.

Really, the only boosting you need is to INT. Wizards don't have a lot of magic item dependencies and, with magic crafting, you can end up with a lot of free gold.

Golems aren't always a good investment of money. Check with your DM whether you can repair a destroyed (0 HP) golem, or otherwise salvage some or all of the cost. If the DM says the expenditure is lost it might be wiser to avoid golems for more... permanent investments.

These three spells can turn a wizard open you the doors to infinite wealth:

Use
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/b/blood-money
with
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/m/masterwork-transformation
or
http://paizo.com/prd/spells/fabricate.html

Just don't do this to often or your GM might get angry. Or stick with Fabricate allone to improve your groups loot.

Best way though is just talking to your GM about your characters goals(the golem) and ask if he could give you the needed loot/components over the next adventures. If heis nice this might work well.

Beware other classes starting to charge you for their feats in return.
