The spell "Stone Shield" says, at the end, that a qinggong monk may select this spell as a ki power at 4th level.
But...it doesn't say any else about it. How much ki does it use to use this spell like ability?
And the monk that's thinking about this is 3 feet tall. The spell says that it provides cover, not total cover, but it's a creation spell that makes a 5" tall/wide slab of earth pop up beside you. Would my monk get total cover?
Anyone?
OK, two questions in one...if it doesn't say how many ki it costs, I'd check the errata for Ultimate Magic, and if nothing is there 1 ki for a spell is not that bad a price.
As for the cover issue, it probably assumes that if you are Small sized, you will be looking around it to spot the enemy. Or it could be that it makes a 5' square slab for a Medium creature it makes one half that size.
Either way, it's not the best SLA for a qingong monk to take, Barkskin and Trustrike are way more useful.
