This is chilling. The average game designer at a place like Paizo makes less than a guy working at McDonalds? A college graduate can't afford to work as a game design shop because of all the student loans. Someone without a college degree who might want to work at a game design shop is going to have financial pressure to move up the job ladder and become a fry cook.
Paizo will have to start outsourcing game design to barefooted Mongolian children in Asia.
The next time you see "magical script" in an illustration in the corner of a page, it might actually be saying "screw you, white guy!"
PF would not be here without its designers. I don't trust anyone who likes the game 100%. Differences of opinion are part of being human. But, we wouldn't be here if we didn't see more good than bad in Paizo and its managers/staff. So, here's my appreciation and, yes, I'd like fries with that.
