Magus: Critical strike vs Spellstrike

Rules Questions

I'm having some doubts over the difference between these two abilities.

So with spellstrike, you cast a spell, then, if you crit with your weapon, the spell crits at x2. My understanding is that the casting is a standard action, and the spellstrike a free action.

With critical strike, if you crit with your weapon, then you can cast a spell that is also critted, and use it as a touch attack. Does this allow you a second spellstrike? Or just 2 spells during one same turn?

Because I can imagine casting a touch attack as the swift action and, since the "spellstrike" is a free action, spellstriking again.

[edit]

Derp. Ignore everything I said, I forgot that Critical Strike is a Magus arcana.

Damn, I thought I'd finally understood. Back to waiting for an answer I guess.

Lantern Lodge

Whenever you cast a spell, you may use the spellstrike ability

Spellstrike allows a free melee attack instead of just a free melee touch attack. The spell casted uses the weapon's critical range.

Critical Strike specifies that it uses a melee touch attack, so no, you can't spell strike with it (Sad face). The spell that Critical Strike casts rolls a melee touch attack. It does not automatically crit, you roll normally.

So, in one turn...

Cast shocking grasp
spellstrike hit with shocking grasp, crit.
Critical strike cast shocking grasp
melee touch attack to see if that hits

then any normal weapon swings you could get.

Note, Critical Strike isn't that good when your already using your swift actions to use arcane accuracy, or other such things.
