Hrm...so compared to Celestial Armor, it's +1 AC and -10ft of movement...doesn't sound like a very good deal if you will be able to max out the chain's dex bonus...
How is it +1 AC over celestial armor? It's +12 armor vs +9 for celestial armor. Or are you referring to if you have a Dex bonus high to matter that much?

That is exactly what I'm referring to. If you have +8 dex, you're only getting +1 AC more with the plate, since it only has a max dex bonus of 6 instead of 8 like the chainmail.
