my noob question a day. Explain this AC stat block?

Advice

Have been adding monsters for random encounters, and for a sub quest plot

Have been unsure of how to read/appy this AC stat. Specifically the +4 +2 +4 part)

When doing the hit roll, and looking at AC, do I add the +4, +2, +4, on top the 20 bringing the to hit up to AC 30? or are these +'s already accounted for in the 20?

Thanks in advance for helping me get my game on

AC 20, touch 12, flat-footed 18 (+4 armor, +2 Dex, +4 natural)

Those bracketed numbers are just explaining the 3 previous AC scores - they all add to a 10 base to make 20, armour and natural armour add to 10 for flat-footed, and Dex adds to 10 for touch.

So no, you don't add them. They're there so you know what to do if someone's Dex gets debuffed, or if they get another bonus that doesn't stack with armour or natural armour, etc.

thanks, that is what I thought, and how I had been playing it. thank you for confirming.
