            Hi,
I'm running a homebrew setting with a party of 5, 5th level characters.
4 out of the 5 players signed a contract with a contract devil. One who signed, had his contract broken due to story.
I know the Hells would send forces after the one who's contract is broken, I'm looking to augment some of my ideas.
This first idea I had was for the people surrounding him to lemures cloaked to look like people, then the lemure to "melt" before they attack.
How would you design encounters around Hell's Hitmen?

            Cool stuff
First I'd send a solo diabolic around to have a brief chat to see what the situation is. Non violent discussion, chance to 're sign etc.
If you do go with thenovalord's suggestion, keep in mind the contract should be tougher because Hell has such a better negotiating position:
Look, believe me, I know how it is, these things happen. And don't worry, I really think I can sell my boss on the idea of rewriting this deal. But see, my boss, he's not as understanding as a field agent like me, so if I'm going to sell him on a renegotiation, you're gonna hafta give up a bit more than before, ya unnerstand? Look at it this way, either way you're already on the hook at some point. Do ya really want that point to be now?
Sometimes ya gotta grease da wheels is what I'm sayin' here. So ya'll maybe have a few extra jobs to do for us. I think we both know you'll like that a whole lot more than the boss exercising the old contract's "termination clause".

That is one angle I haven't considered yet. For some reason my mind went to the "unleash hell" (pun intended) reaction of the devils.
What do you think about a more psychological route, like using nightmares he is fatigued, or afflicted the group around them so they might ostracize him before any actual combat takes place?
