I apologize if this is a duplicate topic. I'm trying to wrap the Downtime rules around my hard head. Let me see if I have the breakdown correct:

Building a Guildhall in Magnimar, a large city:

Base Cost of the Guildhall is 67 goods, 66 labor (2,660GP)

OK, first questions: is the 2,660 the purchased or earned capital value?

Second question: You can earn up to 4+ capital per day using skill checks? So it would take 331 days of downtime to build the Guildhall? What if you purchased with gold, 20 days or 331?

I appreciate any help on this!

the gold cost is if you buy one that was already built.

as for earning capital... doing so allows you to purchase it at half price. and your group could pool their resources, or you could just buy more capital at full price. in the end its simply a question of how much gold you have, and what discounts you may get.

Thanks Captain Xenon for the input. I'll read the section to make sure I understand the custom builds. I'm still unsure on the timeframe.


Its in the Underbridge section of Magnimar, so I'm sure just a tiny bit of gold will buy the most awesomest guildhall ever!
